The City benefits from easy access to the nearby cities and towns with which it shares the Toledo Metropolitan area. The city is home to several parks, including Olander Park, Pacesetter Park, Veterans Memorial and Burnham Park. Olander park has a large pond, Pacesetter Park has lacrosse, soccer, and baseball fields, and Burnham Park contains Plummer Pool. Sylvania is the host for the Jamie Farr regular tour event for the LPGA. Lourdes College is a private coeducational communter college housed on 94 acre site. Sylvania Schools are rated excellent.
